As part of Omagh District Council's St Patrick's Day celebrations @ Strule Arts Centre the club will be QRV on HF, VHF, UHF, DSTAR and Echolink from the arts centre on the 17th March from 12:00 until 17:00 UTC.

A special QSL card is being designed for the event; all contacts will receive the special QSL card.

Around 17,280 people live in Omagh town and the town is now, with the exception of Derry/Londonderry, the second largest town in the west of Northern Ireland. It is the County town of Tyrone.  Located where the Camowen and Drumragh rivers come together to form the Strule, the town is said to owe its origins to an abbey founded in 792 AD.

Omagh is situated 70 miles from Belfast and 34 miles from Derry/Londonderry and is the perfect launch pad to explore the beauty of the local countryside and an ideal stopover for visitors travelling to and from the Republic of Ireland
